Formula 3 Test, Rockingham

Surprisingly, no discussion about the Formula 3 test at Rockingham on here. So here goes.

Top six: Antinucci; van der Merwe; Austin; Green; Bremer; Dahlgren.

Top three Scholarship: England; Viso; Chandhok.

Full times at http://www.mst-group.co.uk/bf3gt/2003/31117bf3.pdf

Nothing too unexpected so far, with the three guys with experience doing well and Green the top rookie. Tor Graves surprisingly as high as 14th out of 24, but this is only testing.

England was quick in the afternoon, he was running 6th for most of it until being pipped at the death by Bremer to knock him to seventh.

England is a top driver in a top team, Promatecme,. Suprising that such a team have no Class A drivers, What happened there then ?

Promatecme, with a B class car is playing with top A class teams. They were the strongest team by the end of last season. Why haven't they got a Driver in A class?

I have a question how could Fairuz Fauzy obtain a license to drive an F3? Shouldn´t be in the scolarship class, until he can manage the power of an F3?

He did Scholarship last year under the name Mohammad Fairuz I believe. Bizarrely, his name was 'wrong' in all the official entry lists, the programme, on the commentary...

I think his brother Farriz is less experienced though, as borne out by those times. Either way, there's potential for a commentators nightmare with two similarly-named brothers competing.

I've not seen an absolutely up-to-date list, but six tested at Rockingham (out of 24) and seven at Donington (out of 26).

Incidentally, today's times from Donington show the top six as van der Merwe, Austin, Davison, Green, Watts and Antinucci with the best Scholarship driver being Viso in tenth, followed by Kane and England.

Alex Pozzobon and Saif Hassan seem a little bit off the pace. Tor Graves was faster than Nelson Jr. Will Power was 1s off the pace in the Ralt; the Lolas were slower - Keohane 1.2s back and Carroll 2.1s down. Not sure if they were sharing a car because Carroll only went out in the morning and Keohane in the afternoon.

Sorry I wanted to speak about Farriz, I confused. The brother is in the times, but Farriz is 5 seconds off the pace. Too much for me.
