Sports 2000 Historic Championship

Guys,

From the earlier threads on S2000 Historics I guess there may be some owners of early S2000 cars lurking on ten-tenths who for some reason don't seem to want to come out and play, in addition there may be some people on ten-tenths who could be tempted to join us in the SRCC historic championship.

I'd really like that to see you guys out during the year. As has been said before historic S2000 provides all the buzz of Group 6 racing at tiny fraction of the cost just as John Webb intended.

This year we again have a stand alone championship along with the historic class in the pinto championship.

The races counting towards the stand alone historic championship are:
  • May 7th Cadwell Park.
  • August 6th/7th Donington Park GP.
  • Sept 3rd Oulton Park
  • Sept 30th/Oct 1st: Silverstone new GP
  • Oct 15th/16th Brands Hatch
There are additional Pinto Rounds with an Historic class at Snett (300) April 24/5th, Donington National July 23rd/24th, not to mention two 30 min races at Spa 10th/11th/12th June and 2 x 1hr Races (Sliverstone and TBA)

So huge race mileage available this year to these super little cars.

Look forward to meeting some of you during the year. I'm the number 88 Lola T492.

Best regards.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I noticed you talking on SRCC about some of the longer races and the HTPs required. I know there are some european series like HMR that do not require HTPs. Do you know of any 2 driver Sports 2000 races that do not require them?
Thanks.

I have a HTTP for my car but it was not checked at Spa last year, the German HRA didn't seem to worry about them. I'd guess it's orgainiser by orgainiser.

The HRA is not invloved in the Summer classic this year so there is no long distance race I can enter at that meeting. If you come up with any let me know.

I'm also trying to track down if the 750 mile race at Nurburgring ring is on at the end of the year.

Regards

Kevin
