Can anybody tell me when ACB10 start to go off, in other words when do lap times suffer.

Also do they go off without being used say over the winter?

Does any body have any good usable used tyres they wish to part with cheaply or know of any teams who dispose of partly worn ones?

Depends on the car barny. my old rf89 went a season on the same boots without much difference, on my sc93 seems 2 races/qual then they start to degrade(0.2-0.5 sec a lap). all about heat cycles too. over the winter they can do. i was thinking the same yesterday. they go off quicker in uv light to so keep them away from the sunbed!!!!good luck in the hunt! think we all would like to find a cheaper alternative.

Last years tyres are hopeless and you need a fair amount of tread in the wet, apart from that, unless you are absolutely on the pace you can run them until they stop being legal and not see much difference.

The new batch of ACB10s with the white rectangle on them seem to have more grip and last two races rather than one.
