GT Legends
Sorry if there is already a thread on this .....
Anyone played this ? Its based on the GTR engine so its very realistic ! Racing a range of older cars, Ranging from Mini coopers, Ford GT40's and everything in between Although unfortunitly (sp?) like GTR It seems to be very buggy and mine keeps crashing.   BUT when it does run man what a game Im hooked on the Austin Healey 3000 .......... |

Yeah i have it.
When you say it crashes, did you have the same problem as me; when you start it up it just crashes the computer? |

well it crashes usually in the menu's rather than in game !
it just brings up GTL has to close thing ......... |

Oh right, that happened with me in GTR2, but it was something i'd downloaded for it, so i reinstalled and it was okay. Though you would rather avoid doing that i'm sure.
With me, i just updated my starforce drivers and it was okay, but that was because it would crash when i opened up the game. |

Could be to do with AGP fast writes in bios/vid card setup. Best see some threads on RSC, there are ways to fix it.

aaa I have disabled Fastwrites in the bias at start up still it crashes ......
I will go and check the fourms over at RSC ! |

right i sorted the game freezing out and and now runs a pearl !
loving it with the steering wheel! I downloaded some good tracks, brands hatch, silverstone 88, charade and some others ! |

I thought it was OK. Once I'd sorted the crashes (on my pc, not my cars in the game!), it was fun to drive. But I found I got bored with it quite quickl;y - same with GTR and GTR2. Guess what I've reinstalled on my pc........

I still run GTL & GTR2 Leagues/ Fun events.

I'm a late adopter, I Just got this three days ago and I really like it.
I've d/l a heap of add-on cars, but I haven't installed them yet; I hear it creates dramas with the in game championships? Is No Grip the best source of add-on cars and tracks? |

No-Grip has the best list that I've come across. I haven't mucked around that much with mine (and I haven't played it since I found iRacing 2 years ago) but couldn't say if it caused havoc with in-game championships, but I believe there is/was a third party championship editor. I know GTR2 did (from no-grip) and I'm almost certain it worked with GTL as well.

I've installed all the cars I d/l and so far no dramas at all. I'm having heaps of fun. I really like the RS2000 Mk.1 & the Escort Mexico. Minis are fun too.
I'm addicted to rFactor, but I think the physics and graphics are better in GTL. |
