Ralf Interviews

I just read Ralf's interviews in Guardian. Very interesting.

Guardian's Donald McRae asks Ralf about his brother, his title hopes - and his increasingly angry exchanges with the Williams management.

Re: Ralf Interviews

Some interesting stuffs:

"I don't care about next year any more. Everything depends on this season."

"I was very surprised that Williams didn't keep Juan,"

"Well, that would be much easier for me if it's Webber rather than Button. . ."

After reading that i'd have to say that there is very little chance of Ralf driving for Williams in 2005.

Ralf's such a ***** isn't he!

Trying to portray it as Williams getting rid of JPM when it was the other way round.

Very surprised that word was censored - it wasn't swearing but a word used in its proper context.

He didn't actually say that, and what he said......

Quote:
"I was very surprised that Williams didn't keep Juan," Schumacher stressed, a startling reflection on a team-mate he had never previously praised. "He is a top driver but they gave him the opportunity to leave. Juan felt he'd had enough and needed another challenge. But Williams didn't fight too hard to keep him."
........is true. Williams could have (and proberbly would liked to have) kept JPM. But thats not Williams style, as we have seen many times over the years, and it's proberbly the reason we won't see Rafe in the blue and white car next year.

Sir Frank won't have a driver dictate anything to him, doesn't mean that he wouldn't like to keep that driver.

But the point is Williams didn't have the chance to keep him.

His contract expires at the end of 2004 - and he signed for McLaren for 2005.

First Williams knew of it was when he told them he was going to McLaren.

Seems to me Ralfie is making it clear Williams is not an option for him and that Toyota is where he will be.His comment about Webber I put down to I hope not because I can't beat him in an equal car.He obviously thinks he has Button covered.Someone else thought that and look what happened to him.Ralfie make hay while the sun shines because its about to go down.

Just out of interest, how do you know this for certain? or is it just a guess?

JPM hasn't said that he signed without approaching Frank first and Frank hasn't said that JPM wanted to re-sign and he (Frank) said no.

It has been said - I read it in an interview with Frank, that he was disappointed JPM had signed for McLaren without telling him first.
