Crank Balancing in the South East
I appear to a "modular crank" fitted to my 205 - its the first crank I've ever been able to lift out in two pieces
So, new crank needed. The question is, are there any recommendations for someone who can balance a crank in the South East. I know of a couple of good places up past oxford way, but there must be someone in the Surrey / South West London area thats reputable? Thanks Jon |

There is a firm at Biggin Hill airport who balance aero engines. I can't vouch for their work and don't know their details I'm afraid. Perhaps a google search?

Don't forget that if you are having the crank balanced that you need to attach everything that bolts to it, such as the flywheel, clutch, front pulley and damper etc.

Hmmmm.... time to resurect an old thread. And back to the original question no less. Does anyone know someone who can dynamically balance 40odd kg of crank, clutch, damper etc in the South East of England? I now have a new flywheel, clutch and damper and need it sorting

Baldyne, talk to Dave, ask him if he's had any good jumps lately, phone number: 01959540205/6.
He or brother Nigel are very good, do most of there and other peoples work inhouse, only used them for the last 40 years. |
