Max Verstappen. Came from 14th on the grid to a dominate win.

Max Verstappen, of course, that was the best drive of 2022 so far. Also, thanks to him, I now have a total net F1 betting profit of £16.
Honourable mentions to Ocon, Gasly, Vettel and Albon for strong drives to the top ten. |

Credit to George Russel and Ferdinand Alonso but has to be Max - absolute masterclass.

Ocon for the 2 brilliant overtakes. Of course I probably could & should have voted Verstappen like everyone else, but seeing as only Sainz actually wanted to race him, it shines a light on the fact that the rejig of the rules maybe has not quite worked as planned.

I'm giving it to Ocon too. Max's win was close to ludicrous. Yeah, he's great (and all that) but him in that car, completely unbeatable.

Same here! He provided 2 of probably only 3 highlights of the whole race?

Max was clearly in a class of his own, easy to give it to him but decided to go for Ocon.
That passing move will be remembered as the best in F1 history, even slightly better then Mika's on Michael at the same spot decades ago, now we had three cars fighting for position and Ocon did it on the outside. |

Max looked invincible this day, and considering the equipment and the team behind him, I expected nothing less. Well done, but I vote for someone doing something extra.
Sainz did well for a team that really looks just as lost as they where before the break. Russel did a good job, but with that car anything can happen, it seems. But, he seems to be Mr. Consistent, which is extremely impressive. But the only driver that I felt really entertained me with some moves was Sebastian Vettel. Vettel gets my vote today. |

I still don't like him much (even if he is less petulant and entitled than he was) but you can't argue with a result like that. Verstappen.

We can definitely discuss (not argue..) With a performance advantage that clear and some interruptions to boot I really don't see how he could he be DOTR?!

It's a perennial debate - is the driver of the (clear) fastest car worthy of DOTGP?
There is an argument to be made that Ocon from 16th to 7th, or Gasly from Pit Lane to 9th were better drives. |

Still Max drove a clean (and mature) race which doesn't always happen so IMO he is in the mix along with the others you mention. |

I’ve just realised, 4 of Hamilton’s 5 retirements here have been caused by a collision at Les Combes!

Is Les Combes related to that other unhappy Australian chap, Les Miserables? (You have to say it with the right accent.....)
