14.05 - 16.05 - Oschersleben
11.06 - 13.06 - Red Bull Ring
06.08 - 08.08 - Nürburgring
20.08 - 22.08 - Zandvoort
10.09 - 12.09 - Lausitzring
01.10 - 03.10 - Sachsenring
15.10 - 17.10 - Hockenheim

The DMSB gives the Series 2021 the Status "International German GT-Series". That will be the highest Championshiptitel from the DMSB.

GRT will be expand the Programm in the ADAC GT Masters and will be run four Lamborghini Huracan will worksdriver from Lamborghini and a Juniorprogramm.

Nice to see a net increase of 1 new manufacturer to the series after losing Bentley.

It will still look pretty heavily like a Audi, Porsche and Mercedes fest though! As it should really for a german series, same as how British GT should be dominated by Astons and Mclarens!!

That's a good grid! I wonder if DTM could beat that in sheer numbers. Berger sure seems to think his series will surpass any other in Europe... Trump-esque style.

Good to see Aston back in ADAC, hopefully the car will be more competitive than it was in 2019. You'd say it should be after more development and experience with the car side. Let's hope the season won't be affected by Covid this time around

DTM and ADAC seems to be at war for a few years already. Races at the same time etc. Even after the changes to GT Masters calendar, there are still 2 (3, depending on Monza DTM date) clashes.

DTM's grid will propably be smaller than the one in GT Masters, but I bet some factory drivers will be moved there. No matter what you might think, DTM still has that prestige around it + the fact that it's the only major "solo" championship will make some OEMs wanting their best drivers competing there.

Not renamed, the "German GT championship" thing is more like a secondary title that's awarded to the series champion.

It's more or less an attempt by the ADAC and DMSB to increase the series' prestige - but I really wouldn't read too much into it, as that title has very little historical significance. In general, major circuit racing series in Germany have moved away from calling themselves "championship" ("Meisterschaft") since the mid-90s and rather have preferred the terms "Cup", "Challenge" or "Masters" as there are some requirements that need to be fulfilled (chiefly with regards to the number of races that can be held outside Germany) before a series can officially be called a championship.
