BBC Sports Personality Of The Year 2007
Just seen the nominations for this years award. Lewis Hamilton is there, but not Andy Priaulx. Something wrong somewhere? If the BBC will not honour Andy, maybe we ( tenthers ) can give him the recognition he deserves.

We've been honouring him from afar for sometime as we (hillclimb marshals) knew him years ago when he started competing on the hills taking it to the big names with less powerfull less well funded machinery but yes Chris I agree something should be done.. |

http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=102344 I fully agree that AP should be recognised for his achievements. |

James Toseland is shortlisted as one of the 10 possible contenders to win this award. A public vote by phone will decide the winner during the show on BBC One, which is being broadcast from 1900 GMT on Sunday 9 December from the NEC in Birmingham. The number will probably be given out at the beginning of the show so if you want our man James to win, call (or text, whatever they decide) and tell your mates about it and show the world that James is the man for this prestigous award. He's twice won the World Superbike championship against great opposition and deserves to be recognised for this feat, especially after a Brands Hatch double in front of his home crowd.

Totally agree gwar,
James Toseland did a fantastic job, as did Andy Priaulx, and at least they won, unlike some people, so that should put them ahead in the running to start with. |

Yeah I agree Andy Priaulx has had a fantastic year, same as JT and Dario Franchitti but the press in this country are only interested in football and only F1 on motorsport. Yet again, the England Rugby Team get to the world finals and bearly mentioned. We know who the real heros are, not the overpaid prima donnas!

As for the vote, if we could it'd be Priaulx. |

I reckon Grandstand should bring back rallycross, with Murray Walker commentating, it has to be better than darts

Since this is not anything marshalling related, I'll close this one and point you to the Parc Ferme discussion again:
