team-mates
I just read somewhere on another thread that Irvine and Villeneuve would be excellent team-mates... and I couldn't agree more (although for the off-track show rather than the on-track spectacle of course).
So what do you think would be a nice pairing. I made a list myself: Montoya - M. Schumacher @ Ferrari the best drivers deserve the best car. Irvine - Villeneuve @ mclaren the biggest mouths in a very looked after team by the media. Fisichella - Raikkonen @ williams 2 seriously talented professionals in a serious team. Alonso - Massa @ minardi brave drivers in a brave team. R.Schumacher - Barrichello billionaire drivers in a cash-strapped team, so they can help eddie pay the bills. |

Wait a minute!
Mark Webber, didn't you say JPM was "the overdriver"? How can he also be the "best driver" along with TGF? I think he's the most exciting driver to come along in ages and has heaps of talent and potential. The current pairing at Williams is just fine thanks, and the points score between them was very reflective of how they shape up. |

Ah by the way, I think I read that wrong DOH!!!!!!!!
I thought that Expert was Mark Webber, and I sincerely apologise to both, and as punishment, I will now force myself to watch every post-race press conference given by Mika Hakkinen throughout his distiguished career with my eyelidstaped open ala "Conspiracy Theory". A thousand apologies MW... |

Ralf and Ruby would make a great pair..entertainment wise.
Sheuy and Monty would also be good.. doesnt matter what teams there in as the enjoyment would come from watching them pretend 2 get on 2gether |

hmmmmm....
as for Master & Student....wouldn't mind seeing either of these combinations for a couple of years....Michael & Kimi or Michael & Alonso....... JohnSSC.....but if I'm going to dream....I'd have loved to have seen the combo of a very young James Hunt & Vittorio Brambilla driving for March in the very early 70's......your duo of Takuma & Andrea would look absolutely tame by comparison.... Juan against Schumi in a team that has not surrendered its history to the idea that winning at any cost is ok.

Here's what I'd absolutely love to see in 2005.
Ferrari Jacques Villeneuve and Giancarlo Fisichella: Two top-flight drivers who deserve far better cars. Williams Juan Pablo Montoya and Paul Edwards: Montoya and my favorite among the Americans with a shot at F1. McLaren Kimi Raikonnen and Timo Glock: Kimi's obvious, while Timo is an extremely good young German driver. Renault Fernando Alanso and Sebastian Bourdais: Well, it's not like Trulli's doing anything with his seat. Honda Jensen Button and Takuma Sato: Good solid pairing. Jaguar Mark Webber and Rubens Barrichello: A place for Rubens to wind down his career. Toyota Hmm... No idea. If Panis sticks around, that's fine. And Cristiano DaMatta, I guess. No idea who else to put in that seat. Jordan-Vortec Yeah, it's wishful thinking that GM would build F1 engines, but nonetheless... Justin Wilson and Tomas Enge. Sauber-Volkswagen Heinz-Herald Frentzen and Nick Heidfeld, with one of them moving on the next year to make room for American A.J. Allmendinger, who'll be the CART Champcar champion by then. Minardi-........... This space for rent. |

I'm a simple man. I would just like to see Nick given a shot in a top car. Despite beating his past two team-mate easily, one has been chosen over him for a better seat (but the way he performed, all is forgiven now) while the other... well....

Austria 2001, 2002 and all the times Ferrari and Schumi have used team order are wrong in the same way that Australia 1998 was wrong. Even if the reasons and the way they implemented them was different, team orders suck does not matter who applies them.

For pure fire-crackers... Put Michael and JPM in the same team...even if they can't produce high voltage stuff on track, you can be sure their fans will!
But for pure effectiveness and professional wonders, i'd put Michael and Kimi. Both cool, focussed and determined individuals who push performance to clinical boundaries |
