They set out one of the main tarmaced carparks.

Any bikes are likely to be refused access.

And mostly you can only view from bridge corner to luffield.

Im still hoping to go to the Monday practise day, I just hope this snow holds off for a little longer. I have the day off work so will be very peeved if the days session is called off. Can it ever be too cold to test an F1 car? I would of thought cold weather is cold for the engines is it not?

Can anyone here confirm if the cars will be out testing today? Whats the weather like there?
I phoned the circuit but all they could confirm was that there were 'teams' there. Im only 40mins away from the circuit but dont really want to drive there for nothing.

I must be mad! I braved whatever the weather could throw at me at Silverstone today-which included a 15 minute blizzard at about 2pm-just at the days testing session was supposedly meant to be continuing! But my persistance payed off, caught a glimpse and i mean a glimpse of DC in his Red Bull and the Renault of i think Fisichella - both did 1 installation lap. Not suprising that they didnt really come out today-very cold and the track was very wet after the showers. I think maybe Jordan and one other team are there also but that really is a guess. Shame the weather looks set to be quite bleak this week. I usually love it when it snows-not today however!
Anyone else go?

Going today, hopefully it'll clear out for a bit, it's a long way to go if nothing happens...

The Renaults did some laps, Kimi was there shaking down his re-built race car and a Jordon did one lap while making an awful noise........then the snow came down

Jordan did more than one lap, everyone seemed to be doing only one or two laps though. It snowed , and it was stopped, but they came back out again later. A good day.

Access questions

Which entrance do you have to use?

What charges,if any(!), are made?

What time does it start/finish?

Thanks.

I'm planning to go to the next one. Are there any junk food outlets close to the circuit at all?

They tend to have a burger van parked close to the exit of Bridge corner. Not exactly Michelin star quality but when it gets that cold at Silverstone you'd eat pretty much anything.
