Kimi's mega lap in testing
Kimi set a whopper of a lap at Silverstone, lowering the unoffcial lap record by 1.5 seconds!

It was a great lap by all accounts and bodes well for the race in Shanghai.

Great lap!
Do the car needs to respect the 600kg limit in testing? |

As far as I know, there's a gentleman's agreement to always run legally in testing.

it really would be no point running a car under the 600 kg weight rule when you cannot do it for in the race.... why set imaginary fast lap times...
The B spec MAC has pace no doubt about it and Kimi is very hungry for results... if only it was more reliable.. |

Prost 2001 was a great example.......a lot were fooled into thinking they'd be a top six contender every race. They barely made the top ten in reality. Last edited by Knowlesy; 16 Sep 2004 at 16:40. |

True, but McLaren wouldn't do it - and certainly not at this time of year.
It was just a great lap - nothing sinister. |
