people are sure to flock to the oz gp in october with garry getting this reputation of a rear wheel sliding guru....dont forget anthony west either (could be a tip for his first gp win)....seems there is life after the great man, and he will be there to.

*sigh* And I won't be going yet again...

It will be great to see a big crowd there. And I hope they do turn up because even if there weren't any Australians it would still be good racing.

true it would be good racing anyway.....but australians do need aussies to be racing to attract a crowd to a certain extent.

Unfortunately true that. Bike racing was helped a lot by Wayne Gardner winning the first 2 Australian GPs and we have had someone capable of winning for all but 1 year since.

i can't wait to see mcoy punt his yama round the island (even if i am only going to be watching it on tv). i just hope he doesn't bin it which he does seem to be a bit suseptable to doing. no that he's quailifying at the front of the grid (and winning!) i hope that this isn't a problem anymore. i see where he says that he prefers less 'gripy' circuits. what phillip island like?

the island has plenty of grip...i just hope it dont rain as those 3 or 4 500 wet races in the middle of the season werent very good for mccoy, although he finished 3rd in valencia wet race in 99.
