Alwaysfirst should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Gibside Raceway

This is Gibside Raceway, my newest creation! It is a long circuit, about 6.8km long (ie. similar to Spa). There is a lot of elevation change (as is shown in the diagram in the top-left of the image). I have shown on the map where all of the different sectors are. The most spectacular corner on the track is Drop-Away, the steepest corner on the track. It is a near-flat-out corner that pushes the cars to the outside on the exit of the corner. However, for drivers, the most testing part of the track is Doppelganger-a double apex corner with a small but sudden crest in the middle of the corner. The second part of the corner is banked to allow a better run into the next straight. The final corner is the testing chicane, fondly known as The *****. It is quite a fast chicane located just before a cres making the car go light on exit. Feel free to edit & enjoy!

I like it, On the club circuit the climb from turn 5 to the last corner must be near vertical.

A minor note how do you get into the pits from the club circuit?

On the Main circuit, the downhill from turn 8 through 9 and 10 would be very fast and the stopping for the chicane would see plenty of action. Reminds me of Bathurst, coming down the conrod straight with the Chase at the end, in this case. In this case The Glen at the end of the long downhill run.

Beautiful. I'd tighten The 90 and The ***** though.

Thank you! ScotsBrutesFan-I forgot to add the club pit entry but it would exit the track where the GP circuit joins the straight, simply running straight into the pits. I really did design this track to be one where the man still makes the difference over the machine. Braking for the Revolver & The Glen/Chicane would be as late as the driver dared to make it. It is a track that would encourage mistakes, for drivers to try pushing that bit too hard-would be great to spectate at!

I must say AF, I love this circuit. I think pretty much all of your designs, follow the same ethics, in that they all seem to be contemporary classics, if you catch my drift? Suitable for the modern age, but with strong suggestions of traditionalism.

And they all - present different, unique challenges.

This circuit, itself - would be a pain in the ass to set a car up for. Fast sections, and really twisty, grippy sections. I love this circuit mate, cannot pick fault with anything on it.

Great! Thanks, martin-1.

The run from 3 through 7 seems like it would be cool, and I think having 1 as such a dramatic sweeper is a lovely touch.

I am not sure I see the point of 10, but other than that it appears as a funky course.

Here, hopefully, is an attachment of an edit. It is my alternative to 10, which can quite easily be imagined without me doing it.

I am doing this primarily as a means to get used to the system, .

I haven't fiddled with the numbers of the corners.

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback. Dutton-I put in the chican to allow for late braking attempts, not necessarily to allow overtaking but to allow brave drivers to make up a lot of time quickly on the brakes. However I do also like the circuit without the chicane & I would keep both versions, with the flat out run through that section as a possible option.
