28 entries so far, but they've upped their grid cap to 34, so there's room for another 6 and they sound quite confident that they'll get those. |

Nissan being the only non-german brand on the provisional grid (if you count Lambo [VAG] and Corvette [Callaway] as German as well), no Astons, Bentleys, McLarens and Ferraris (yet)! Remarkable, especially the Italian cars.

Lack of non-German cars is indeed a disappointing part of the series.

Also, whilst it's disappointing, that's one of those disappointments that we should be able to live with for a nationally broadcast GT series with potentially upwards of 30 GT3s, many of which are new ones. I'm sure there are a lot of series who would love to have that problem!

^Agree. The fact that there are more German makes in GT3 than anything else, combined with the high quality teams and drivers (thanks mainly to the factory support from those German companies), makes this the most interesting national GT championship. Certainly preferable to the indistinguishable horde of red Ferrari's usually found in the Italian and Spanish series.

Good point on the factory support, the only other national series with so much factory support from homegrown manufacturers would be British GT and even then it's not on the same level.
Don't get me wrong as much I bemoan the lack of non German makes, I hold the championship in high regard as far as quality goes. |

Yes I know that, but it is still a Corvette. They take a Corvette and strip it to its chassis and then modify it. At one point they were getting their engines from the same place as Pratt & Miller... Katech Performance. Yes they build the race car, but it is hardly German.

I read it as those were the two drivers, Bernhard and Estre, but actually, you're right, no mention of Timo driving.

lol lol Didn't know Bernhard had his own team, maybe this is a new thing of his. I hear the second driver will be Estres twin brother Robert, mysteriously they're never seen in the same room together..and if that's the case then yeah good luck to everyone else |

I didn't realise Zakspeed were still in business, thought Phoenix had inherited most of their personnel. Good to see if they do make it out.

You learn something every day. I liked the look of the Porsche 911 GT1-98s they ran back in the FIA GT Championship - dark green with red and white roofs.
