Observing at Silverstone Beckets
If you are given Beckets whilst using the National circuit, some observers tend to either use the flag point at Beckets in as a repeater for the one in Beckets middle. Others prefer to have them as two separate posts.
I suppose the advantage of a repeater is that the driver is given a longer warning as he/she comes into a blind bend with marshals moving cars from an incident usually in the middle of the circuit on the bend. Interested in observers,flaggies and incident marshals views on this one. |

At the recent V/HSCC meeting on the International circuit I was flagging at Maggotts and had an agreement that Becketts In acted as a repeater for Becketts Middle as the latter is well out of the line of sight for drivers and it also gives more adequate warning of problems in the vicinity of Becketts approach on the outside which is relatively "blind".
