The worst GP circuit nowadays
Yes, I wanted to make the opposite of Adam's poll and he promised to add extra answers. So, please, don't vote before he edits the poll, because he'll reset it. OK?

If it weren't for the atrocities of Hungaroring and Barcelona, it'd be a pretty even pick between several others. We need Spa back, we need Elkhart Lake, we need Bathurst, we need some real racetracks.

Barcelona's alright - it gets processional there because the teams know it so well, but it is at least a good test of drivers. Imola is cack - just loads of short straights and bamming kerbs - no flow, no overtaking, no scenery.

Go, go, go....
OK they are all there. I shall put the full names in when I get home (it was done quickly because I was at work). I would also like time to check some of the spellings! |

I agreed there are Barcelona and Hungaroring, for becoming too procesional with no overtakes (also in F3000). I prefer give the Spanish GP back to Jerez and the return of Spa-Francorchamps.
(Also I hoping for the return to Buenos Aires with the help of the EU tobacco ban in 2005-2006, at circuit 15 for sure!) |

Hungary is very dull, but, bizarrely, one of the best overtaking manoeuvres I have ever seen happened there.
Piquet on Senna in 1986. |

A1-Ring. As a track I think it is just such an uninteresting design, easily the one with least intracacies.
Now, the issue of which event I believe CONSISTENTLY provides the least interesting races? Barcelona, no doubt about it. |

And yes, mr v, you guessed it. I would never ditch Hungaroring or Barcelona. |

I don't like the reconfigured Hockenheim-ring because it turned a high-speed track into a cookie cutting downforce track. I wish these guys can restore the 4 mile track.

Not ONE vote for the Nurburgring??!!
Hungaroring isn't great, but even that one's not "bad". |

Why o why do people still complain about the tracks?!?!?!?!? This always makes me MAD!!
It ISN'T the tracks, ITS THE CARS!!! Go to F1 1986, Hungaroring, 1st corner, Piquet passes Senna around the outside, there, point proven. |

Barcelona, Hungaroring, Magny Cours and Imola (return it to '94 spec and it'd feature on my 'best circuits' list).
The rest of the tracks are average. Only Suzuka, Monza and maybe Silverstone excite me these days |

Imola. It was a good track until 1994, but now it's too chicane littered. How can the Villeneuve corner be a chicane? It's blasphemy to St. Gilles!
Montmeló has no passing, but has great corners, like the two leading to the main straight or Campsa curve. Obviously Hockenheim is another blasphemy, but if you have to check it in terms of track design, it's not that bad. The problem is not the new track, the problem is that they had to do it precisely where the better one was! |

I voted for Hockenheim, if Circuit designers could get life inprisonment for needlessly destroying a circuit and/or it's Character, then that Tilke Fella would get it without there being any trial. |

Can we have an option that says 'All but one (Suzuka)'?
The worst now is Imola. Nothing but second gear chicanes. |

Gah! So many are garbage!!! I can't decide!!!
Monaco, Suzuka, Montreal and Monza are the only worthwhile ones anymore!!! Last edited by Lee Janotta; 1 Mar 2003 at 00:39. |

Hungaroring for sure. We could also do without New Hockenheim (old one was my favourite track) and Sepang.
