Third Drivers
Despite the gripes from old hacks 'who can't hack it' on Friday's who do you experts here think will peddal the lower six teams 'recce' cars on the Friday's?
What lucky young? buck will explore the 'New Circuits' for their masters...and who will know their F1 car well enough to point their engineers in the RIGHT direction?...impressing all who watch as they attempt to give 'their' respective teams 'Race drivers' the vital edge come Saturday? B.A.R. ...Davidson (is the only one announced so far) he should know his car and team by now, and is on very good terms with his teams race drivers. TOYOTA...Briscoe (seems a likely bet) JAGUAR...? SAUBER...? JORDAN...? MINARDI...? |

Firstly, there are no guarantees that every team will run the third car, due to the costs involved. It's possible that the smaller teams will hire the ride out, often to local talents.
I'd say Toyota are equally likely to use Sarrazin, as he has much mroe experience, and they might prefer to have Briscoe racing in F3000. |

Toyota will use Briscoe in the Aussie GP, and Zonta will take over for the remaining of the season.

Neel Jani at Sauber
Probably Christian Klien at Jaguar Hopefuly Zsolt Baumgartner at Jordan (well for a couple of events it's more than likely because he has the money together) |

Problem is some teams (well Minardi) wont be able to run drivers with just money as they need to have a superlicense, which Minardi wont be able to afford to give testing time and budget to.

dunno their financial situations at all but if I were a team owner id be looking at Enge, Pantano (actually maybe not - I heard his feedback is a bit rubbish), Wirdheim,
hmm tough question. |
