BTCC Rockingham/Thank you thread [merged]

Who's out to play at Rockingham for the BTCC? Hopefully the forecast snow will keep away.

If anyone has a spare pass, please PM me. As part of my cunning long term plan to persuade my son to join the orange clan, he's returning to Rockingham for the first time in years & it would be great if he could bring a mate along to keep him company. Who knows, I may end up with 2 recruits?

Snow! I hope you're joking

My "Buy a Caravan for Marshaling" campaign has not reached a sucessful conclusion with the boss yet, so looks like a B&B on Satuday night.

Does anyone know whether the Greedy Pig/Courtyard Cafe will be open this year! She opened last year and didn't get a great many people in, just wondered if any locals knew if she was going to open again or of another similar establishment?

Not sure about that but the catering van in the paddock will now be open from 7am on race weekends, with a reduced rate for marshals

First it's snow then strong winds now it's heavy rain whot kind of weather man are you dave. Think possitive it will be like silverstone today 18c and brillent sunshine. Whats more you could be stuck in AD with the others but you could get a flight to Thailand from ther.
I'll be there for the full weekend in the van ofcourse

So four times the usual marshal count at Rockingham then! I'll be there Saturday but had to pull out of Sunday, due to forgetting it was my wedding anniversary....

I'm supposed to be there but phoned BARC yesterday to apologise...

Am in Adelaide. Was in Brisbane til last Thur, went to HK and the sodding dust cloud kicked off while we were airborne to HK. Last leg of flight is still officially "delayed" but we decided after 4 days around the airport (with 2 young kids) that family in Oz was a far better proposition, so here we are.

Officially I'll be back on May 11th, according to Cathay Pacific. May 11th!

Madness.

Enjoy the BTCC meeting. I'm quite jealous (and becoming increasingly so!)

Forecast looking good for Saturday (sunny, 19c) but cooler & wet on Sunday. Lets hope the rain doesn't happen as severely as it did the last time BTCC was at Rockingham in April in 2008!

I meant the last time the meeting was run in April! Last years September meeting was bathed in autumn sunshine, iirc?

Ahh, I see ... I think. Yes, IIRC, it was mostly sunny with a little bit of overcast.
