Motorsport Trainathon NZ, 40 Hour Famine with a twist
New Zealand's Toyota Racing Series driver Alastair Wootten, 14 year old Mitch Evans (Formula Ford & Toyota Racing Series) & Jono Lester 19 year old Porsche GT3 driver will be doing their own 40 Hour Famine with a twist.

Please get behind them, get along to the websites above and donate. A worthy cause. Personally I think they are all nuts - who in their right mind would want to train for 40 hours? |

Hi All
Latest news from the Trainathon - Michael Burdett joins the Trianathon Top Toyota Racing Series driver Michael Burdett has joined the Trainathon team as its third participant, after Mitch Evans was forced to withdraw due to ongoing International race commitments. Michael, like Mitch, has a strong background in the sport and is a close friend of both Jono Lester and Alastair Wootten. He joins the Trainathon with a seamless trainsition. "Of course it's disappointing that Mitch had to withdraw, but as we collectively decided, the racing has to come first and we wish him the best of luck in Australia," Lester and Wootten said. "It's great to join the Trainathon and to exercise for 40 hours will be a huge challenge," Burdett mused. "I've watched the project's progress with interest and when the opportunity arose to become involved, I was quick to sign up!" Keep checking the Official Trainathon website and all of its online pages for more information in the coming hours and days. In other news Toyota New Zealand has also steped up as the Official Trainathon Vehicle Manufacturer. Also take a look at this, but be warned I did mention these guys are nuts. |
