Jamesy-18 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Croft

Amazed that there's no thread for BTCC this weekend.

After the excitement of Oulton two week's ago, the series returns to Croft. After the type of action we saw last time out, who knows what will happen here?

Dudley has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
NA cars first in every free practice.

1-2-3 in qualifying as I mention it.

Awaiting Jason to come in here to complain about the huge unfair advantage he clearly has

utter bull, BTCC going backwards and letting the old heaps be quicker than the new machinery, rubbish. WTCC all the way.

Looks like the rules are pretty even, (for this weekend at least, Snetterton could well be another story altogether). No doubt some of the turbo fans and drivers will probably say otherwise

Considering the success ballast Matt Neal is carrying, the Honda and the Chevy look pretty equal over a single lap for the first time this year, and the BMW has always gone well at Croft and should be decent over the race distance.

Would really like Collard to win tomorrow, the top 3 into the first corner should be interesting.

I can only speak for myself, but as someone with a soft spot for Honda and who is no fan of JP, I concur. The fact that this also helps Owy may have something to do with that

Yep, watching the live stream Harvey reckoned the gap between Plato and Neal was about what you'd expect given the ballast, so on the face of it parity appears to be more or less there. The picture will be clearer after tomorrow of course...

Funny how a lot of the NGTC engines are effectively a lot older than the S2000 ones!!

Actually it's not - if you look at the data from TSL Neal is 2mph quicker and Shedden 2.5 in the first trap. It's actually the Fords, old and new, that are the fastest in terms of pure speed - except for the sector 2 trap where you'd be quite surprised to see who tops that one...

Its the Rob Austin Audi which has amazed me. 11th place. A miracle, they have either done a complete re-build or Rob really has his eye in at Croft. Great quali result.

Rob normally goes well at croft but I think its mainly the fact that rwd normally goes well there.

Maybe Plato pathetic on going winging and chucking out of toys from pram will finally cease as he is on pole.... unless Mr Gow relegates him to the back of the grid for bringing the sport into distrepute

If it is the Rob Austin Audi its not really any surprise, its now got the Lehmann engine and its proven that its a good quick engine in the Golf and it seems to be working really well with the rwd Audi

I'm making the easiest prediction of the day. Collard will lead into the first corner of the first race.

(Watch him stall now)

Nope, of all people it's our friend JP.

I guess he's probably carrying more speed through Sunny, but it did strike me as somewhat ironic...

He actually had quite a hopeless start didn't he? Failed to react to the lights, then got bags of wheelspin, despite both of those things, he was still toe to toe with the cars ahead come the first corner due to the better traction after the 0-30mph wheelspinning session.

What a day of action once again. Races 1 and 3 particularly good, and 2 wasn't bad either. Great job by Jackson and the WSR BMWs too. Nice touch to see Collard letting Foster go through right at the end when he knew he wouldn't be able to overtake Jackson.

Awesome driving from Jackson in Race 1 to hold on to that car, I bet none of us realise how fine a line that was between keeping it on track and binning it.

Another good drive from him in Race 3.. looks like he might turn into Neal's biggest title threat, now that Shedden got a mysterious suspension problem this weekend..

Was good to see the NGTC cars much more on the pace this weekend. Wrathall was mixing it in Race 1 and 2, and Austin sliced through the field in Race 3. Just a shame that small technical problems (and slight over-driving) are still holding them back
