Brundle's Grid Walkabout
Is there anyone else here who thinks Martin Brundle's grid walkabout is a waste of time. Most of the time he just talks to Bernie, and often cannot find anyone who will talk to him - definately not the drivers. Maybe he should start at the back of the grid......

I actually enjoy Brundle's grid walk - it's far more interesting than Jim "Football" Rosenthal and Tony Jardine in the studio.

I guess it's just that the only people that remember him as a driver are of Bernie's age

I agree with Ralf's girl. I really look forward to them. Give him his due - it's noty an easy task. I suspect he had lined up to talk to someone in the Ferrari tgeam this week but because of TGF's off on the way to the grid they were all a bit occupied. I thought teh Boris Becker interview was a little gem and he wouldn't have go that if Bernie had pointed Boris towards him (I doubt Boris has any idea who Martin is).
Anything's better than more Rosenthal and Jardine drivel (notice I didn't insult waffles this time!) |

Martin's grid walk is pointless. Every race he goes from the front of the grid, spend 3 minutes waffling and 20 seconds talking to either a dis-interested top 6 driver or a D-list celebrity.
Come on Martin - go and interview Fernando!!!!! |

Stop worrying about this!
Think yourselves lucky that you get it at all. The best coverage we have is just the race, no qualifying, practice, interviews, warmup - NOTHING! Gee - just to have a part of what goes on before the race would be great - whether it be good or bad! |

But keep the gird walk even if it is **** anything IS better than count von count from sesame street and tony jardines damn jackie stewart impressions!!!!!!!!! |

Why don't you guys write an e-mail to ITV and make some suggestions about how Martin Brudle could conduct his pre-race interviews...We don't get here in America...So you are lucky aren't you..

The coverage from Channel 9 is appaling. Firstly they could show us qualifying rather than the drivel (usually a **** tv-movie) they show on Saturday night, and show the race *live* on Sunday nights, instead of some pathetic movie released three years ago on video. Plus we usually miss half the race, or most of the excitement anyway, due to inconveniently placed ads, that go for 15 goddamn minutes. Come to think of it, we probably have the worst coverage in the Western world. Even Israel has the race live and they're at war with each other!!!! I'd much prefer it if we got complete ITV coverage on a Sunday night, even if we have to put up with Jardine. Then we could get the grid-walk and pre/post-race analysis, and we also get to here more Murray!!!! |

Blame Packer and Murdoch for not allowing this country any access to the pay tv telecasts thats those around the world get. Coz Channel 9 is never going to improve its coverage.

I've been thinking for a while that Brundle's gridwalk should start at the back. I'd love to see him interview the drivers who we hardly ever get to see, on-track or off it.

anyone else notice the bias... trying to interview(distract?) TGF and leaving DC alone to focus(whinge).
BTW keep the walkabout its good to watch as it lets you be on the geid in your living room... I'm desperate ok. |
