I will! All the way from Argentina. I really want to see Pechito bouncing back from his bad race in Silverstone. I will be staying in Malmedy, did not find accomodation closer to the circuit.

Having missed last year will be there in 2017. Heading down on Thursday but will probably only do Saturday at the track - there are a couple of decent Vauban fortresses I was thinking of having a look at on the Friday, but will be around in the evening.

Be good to catch up with those around over the weekend.

I'm no longer around in the West-Europe area but with only 30 cars for this once classic sportscar race I would have passed the opportunity. Long gone are the ELMS/ILMC days with 50 or so cars at the start and no break to get your eyes off the track - a blue flaggers dream!

A large part of me agrees - Spa deserves to have the sort of vast grids we saw ten or so years ago, but it's still the single most jaw dropping track I've ever had the privilege to walk around.

Started shoving things into the back of the car today ready for an early off Thursday morning - fully expect it to be the sort of brilliant trip it generally is. Now main dilemma is to think about soundtrack for the drive (currently planning on taking a southerly route past Valenciennes, then tacking east through Maubeuge and on through to Spa) - suggestions welcome!

On the drive to Silverstone WEC last month I attempted to introduce EPS's sons to the delights of Jimmy Buffett, sadly they were not convinced.

Looks like cool and showery for Friday, and perfectly respectable (if on the cool side) on Saturday.

That said when I looked over the weekend it was looking quite a bit colder - so who knows... Pack for all conditions - better safe than sorry.

There are reports on clubarnarge that due to a security warning in belgium there is increased security at all public events over the weekend and that checks on cars entering the carparks etc will be increased and all boots/interiors will be inspected. So for all of those going be aware

Question ... What are my options to be able to get to Verviers/Liege after the race .. is see that TEC buses only work up to about 18:30
Are there shuttles to major towns from where I can get a train to Liege?
Not even in Romania public transport stops at that hour
