Gerard should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Marcus Gronholm has won the Swedish Rally by 6.8 seconds.
The Finnish driver finished fifth on stage 20 to win the event, despite a late charge by world champion Tommi Makinen in his Mitsubishi.

The victory marks Peugeot's first World Rally Championship win since 1986.

Ford's Colin McRae won the final stage to reclaim third spot from Thomas Radstrom, who finished second on the final run.

Subaru pair Richard Burns and Juha Kankkunen finished fifth and sixth respectively.
