Skegness Speedway?
Can anybody fill me in on this?
When visiting prospective primary schools for my daughter I was browsing one of their libraries and in the local history section was a book on the history of Skegness (UK Lincolnshire coast). In there was a chapter about Skegness Speedway which looks like it was going to be one monster of a circuit with a 2 mile long main straight. I didnt have the time to read the chapter properly but think that it was to be sited at Gibraltar Point , where the bird sanctuary now is. Has anybody else heard of this and more specifically do they know of anywhere on the web that may have further details? |
