There's a simple solution to that problem, isn't there?

If you can't work mine out, you're sillier than the average F.Ford driver!

Ah, I know because he sent me a PM in error last night, he meant it for somebody else [he had thought I had posted something, but it wasn't me]
Anyway, when I replied along the lines of "I haven't got a clue what you are talking about", his reply informed me that he does Paddock and Assembly at Oulton and his name is Peter. Peter what? I don't know.

No big secret, not particularly anonymous - just shy and retiring. Most people who know me will probably recognise paddock/assembly/oulton/formerly brands/cumbria anyway and put 2 and 8 together to figure out I'm the one with the moustache, even if they can't see it on a 10/10ths post.

I agree with the starter of the thread, why do people user psuedo names (often very silly ones at that) on these forums, what are they worried about, I can see it being relevant on say ebay but a harmless none controversial motorsport forum! If you have something to say please have the courage of your convictions and use your correct name ad stad u and be counted. I have never understood this amd subscribe to 4 or 5 forums. Also why is there not a facility and a requirement to put up an avatar alongside each post as some other sites so you can see who you are talking to. I think a lot of the petty rows that evolve from these type of forums come about because of some peoples anominity.

I agree with Al ...very easy to write & snipe at people from behind a pc screen & most of all behind a screen name

My name ( you really dont wanna know !! ) but definitely nothing to do with cars
First season marshaling at oulton ...big lass on the bank , usually attached to a fire bottle , which usually gets left behind
Hope to meet some of ya next season

What about people who have their screen-name based on their real name? Just to complicate matters
