onza should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The demise of Motorsport Services

I am assuming it is public knowledge the Motorsport Services that were based at Hampton Downs is no longer providing services to motorsport.

I wonder if this is a sign of the times or was something else at play here.

With them no longer providing turn key lease drives there will he a gap in the market f8r someone to fill in the future

Thoughts? .

The Porsche's that they ran are now two or three generations old I think so are a little outdated. I wonder whether they thought it wasn't worth racing them locally and/or overseas or maybe the money just ran out.

That gap, as far as I'm aware, is being filled by Trass Family Motorsport. TFM ran with assistance from Motorsport Services in last years NIES and SIES, so perhaps they were setting them up to effectively take over that role in NZ motor racing. TFM will be running Three Ferraris, one F430 Challenge and two F430 GT3's.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the two Motorsport Services Porsches were bought by some Australian folks to race in the Australian GT series.

Blackpearl is a back marker
Last I heard he sold a car claiming it was something that it was not and court hearings, old cars and maintained at a very small budget.

Its a real shame really, as they were quite a good place to go if you had just bought a cup car, and wanted to run it to a budget you could.

There do seem to be more operations popping up that can run them for you though.

TFM as far as I know will be running the Ferrari's with lease drives, not sure about running cars that you own (such as a Porsche Cup Car) and what not.

Are motorsport services still doing their thing overseas though?
