F3 Euro Series Off Season Discussions for 2010
After the 2009 season and great field, it seems that F3 Euro Series is facing a lot of trouble in view of 2010:
- GP3 - Carlin & Manor (?) pulling out (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/80138 - http://www.italiaracing.net/notizia.asp?id=25534&cat=7) - No other Team but ART winning titles... What a shame if F3 ES quality drops looking at how many drivers it has brought to F1 (Lewis Hamilton, Adrian Sutil, Robert Kubica, Sebastian Vettel, Nico Hulkenberg, ...... Any ideas of a calendar? Haven't seen anything about DTM either... |

In 2003 Prema won the championship with Briscoe , but apart from this , that is F3ART Series.
Bad times for F3 Euroseries. |

Formula ART? Better be careful about abbreviating that one...

If both Manor and Carlin stop F3 Euro Series, no British Teams will be involved in F3 ES anymore and we would be left with:
3 German Teams 3 French Teams 1 Italian Team 1 Austrian (If HBR still participates looking at their end of season) |

Although the series is facing tough times has anybody heard about any drivers at any teams?
These are the latest rumors I've heard: ART: Bottas - Sims - Pla Mucke: Christensen? - Wittmann? - Signature: Vanthoor - Mortara ? - Abt ? Prema: SG: Motopark: Jo Zeller: Kolles & Heinz: Dusseldorp? HBR: I'm guessing that drivers like Mehri, Zanella, Rosenzweig, Geronimi or Caldarelli might repeat another season but no idea with which Team. Last edited by F3 Fan; 19 Nov 2009 at 22:19. |

Merhi will probably stay ( less likely move to gp3 - his interview to AS.com).
As a mercedes driver i expect him go to Mucke , 90% sure of that. |

they rate him verry high so I doubt he will go to Kolles & Heinz because that would be a fail |

Matias Laine to Motopark in 2010: http://www.mtv3.fi/urheilu/f1/uutise...009/11/1002771 (in Finnish)
Motopark will change from Mercedes to VW power. |

Quite interesting he has gone straight to F3, hope he goes well. But for 2010 sad to see less cars. Maybe there could be a new team, hope so. But i fully expect it will be Art vs Signature. |

Last year VW were again faster at Macau, then in F3ES they had worse season than 2008, so Mercedes will answer

Good to see Wittmann continuing to race as he said he may have to give it up to work as a coach builder!

Antonio Felix Da Costa, 3rd in Eurocup Formula Renault and Winner of the NEC 2009, was testing with Motopark in Estoril last week .
It was the first outing of Motopark with the VW Engine Felix Da Costa is a contender for a drive at Motopark in F3 Euro in 2010 |

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters is not going to visit France next year
Since the F3 Euroseries rarely races alone, they wouldn't be visiting France in 2010??? The FFSA shouldn't have let their national F3 championship disappear. |

I really hate it how Euroseries races only on German tracks, now Germany has both the Euroseries and the ATS German F3
Euroseries needs to be more European oriented ASAP otherwise more teams will leave |

If the 2010 F3 Euroseries loses non-German venues, the British F3 will have less need (and pressure) to visit the mainland. Some of you may like that, don't you? |
