French Hillclimb Invitation

La Pommeraye Hillclimb Masters is now taking entries for this year’s event on 29/30 May 2010.

The fast sweeping hill is set amongst vineyards producing the famous Anjou wines, the 2.5km hill is well known for it's bottom-clenching esses section where cars run between the armco at over 200kph.

The event is a round of the Championnat de France de la Montagne and is considered to be the most prestigious hillclimb championship in Europe. Alongside the FFSA event the organisers also run the ‘Masters’ group for overseas drivers who's cars do not comply with FFSA tech regs.

La Pommeraye is situated close the west coat of France between Nantes and Angers, distance from Saint Malo ferry-port is 250km.

La Pommeraye Masters drivers must hold any current MSA competition licence and a full driving licence. Cars need to comply with UK hillclimb technical regulations, in addition they will need to satisfy a few additional French safety requirements, see website for details.

If you have always fancied doing one of the big French hills then now is your chance, I guarantee you will dine out on the experience for years to come.

The event is run by La Pommeraye Sport Auto, a registered not for profit sporting association.

Bloody fast hill!
Not many bends to slow things down for the Vintage races around, but I bet it is great fun.

Be good in a 911....

Do you need silencers?

Yes i'm afraid silencers were introduced last year on French hills.
