Mike Crow should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does anyone have an entry list for this event please? Special Saloons always look good round Thruxton

In my experience entry lists for CSCC meetings are not available until the last minute but having said that I'll be there anyway, wouldn't miss the mod sports/saloons

They are usually issued to competitors with the finals - but I'm not doing Thruxton so I can't help.

Got mine yesterday . Looking forward to it . but I suspect it will be a tad cooler than Brands Hatch was . Some satisfyingly heavy metal entered, cars which should be able really to stretch their legs ...

Such as ? . Not many better things than seeing a V8 lumped around a track such as Thruxton.

Goodwood last week - Thruxton this week. Show business to good honest clubbie. Both part of the same piece of string we all love. Today was splendid. A beguiling paddock to wander round, A fine mix of cars from sublime Alfas to thundering special saloons, Midgets and Minis, TVRs and Elans with everything in between. Absorbing racing, relaxed easy going atmosphere and a wonderful, fast and demanding, old school circuit all under blue skies and bright sun. Magic!

Really enjoyed today. Proper clubbie meeting with an eclectic mix of cars.
Weather was a bonus.

One of my Alfa mates had a great race in Swinging Sixties - got his first win after a long battle with a BMW 2002. An edited clip of about 20 minutes is on youtube and worth a watch if you have the time

Quite a difference for day 2. Rain, some small grids and 10-12 cars was too few for two of the 40 minute races.

Modern Classics has been struggling. Suppose to many series for cars that are eligible.

Not convinced - something like 27 cars at Snetterton, 31 at Silverstone and 37 at Anglesey, 26 at Brands.
Oulton was low, I grant you, but many series would be delighted with MCs average grid size.

Fair enough. The Anglesey grid was combined with Future Classics . My memory was a bit hazey i'll use as my excuse.

I could say struggle with context to CSCC as a club which is a good thing with those numbers

Just catching up, sorry. You are, of course, correct and my mistake. But MC still had 16 cars on that joint grid! Many clubs would be happy with that at most meetings, let alone at Anglesey. I think the series numbers stack up throughout the year.

Yes they did indeed. Club is doing well which is good. Went to my first CSCC event at Brands and was brilliant. Really good to see all full grids.

Not sure what to think about success penalties.

Interesting to see what places they go. Not sure what series have yet to do the yearly GP race the club have. The Mag 7's were brilliant .
