Playstation 3 Launch
Could be out by Christmas and likely to be much more powerful than the Xbox 360.

well it was on the cards it would be alot better than the xbox 360, especially with the new cell chip they are using. and Nvidia are looking for revenge after microsoft ripped them off, so dont put it past sony to come out with a better console, but my eye is firmly on the Nintendo too, looks to be a good few years for consoles !

when they first come out about 500 quid but then after 6 months when better games come out and other consoles are on the market i suspect the price will fall a few hundred.

The video is awasome.
All of the pit crew and crowd rush to the pit wall when the cars come in. I know its only a tech demo, but the video had vastly improved engine effects. Hopefully this will be standard in GT5. |

If the controller is supposed to be that big my hands might hurt from playing it too long,too big and bulky.Sweet system otherwise.

Damn, ign's down atm.
 From that one screenshot flor posted though it looks like they just put more models in-not necessarily new textures. I'm very happy to see at least 10 cars on the track. Once that happens.... Yeah, it'll be good. I hope this system does come pretty cheap, I can't wait to get it.

Apparently they used GT4 car models with new environments for this demo.
The videos give a better impression, especially the pit sequence as all the people pictured are moving around. Theres a shot on the Nurburgring with over 20 cars. |

While I'm excited about all this, I got to thinking-I couldn't possibly use this hardware to its full extent with what I currently have. To do that I'd need two hdtvs, an hdtv tuner and cable service, a surround sound system, quite a few peripherals, the console itself....
All this entertainment stuff is quite expensive! Still, even if I have to use it with a 20-year old conventional tv, I bet it'll be more amazing than anything else I've seen.
