I'm just trying to recall if Prost has ever raced at LM, or in fact raced in any sportscar at all.
I think he had some conection with a team in the past but only in the management as I recall. Anybody remember anything more ? Simon |

2005 should be the start of LM/sportscars getting back to their best.

Would the Maserati be ok under the ACO rules?
If it did race then we would see, Lambo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, Corvette, Saleen, Pagani & maybe Porsche all hoping to get in under the ACO's rader for an entry in the GTS class. |

Incredibly - unless someone has a BIG surprise to spring - the favourite to win Le Mans 2005 has to be an Audi R8. That being so, I can't see Audi unveiling the new car, the so-called R9, until 2006, or perhaps even later. Why rush?

Sounds like it might be going back to the '95 race. Put JJ in a good car please and I hate to say it but some rain in the night and JJ in an Aston at tetre rouge.

A similar suggestion was made in this weeks Autosport. And the karing track at Le Mans is named after him! |

I think Audi will leave the R8 pretty much untouched, and focus on the R9/10.
If the Zyteks have the reliability they will be huge favourites for the next 3 LMES rounds. Monza was not a Zytek track, yet the works car lapped as fast in the race as the R8 pole time. Audi will want competition in order to convince other manufactuers to enter LMP1 cars. |
