2015 Tenthers Bathurst 12 hour dinner.
With it appearing that quite a few of us attended the 12 hour and successfully avoided each other i thought that i would put out the idea of a Tenthers dinner on the Saturday night. I have dined with my family at a very nice restaurant in Bathurst which is normally booked out months in advance and is also very popular with some GT3 teams. The restaurant does great steaks, pastas and pretty much anything that you desire. I know the boss girl well and she can book a table for us even at this early stage and would be for about 7.00pm. Just looking for expressions of interest at this stage. Either post or PM me.

I would be interested
It might be a good idea to perhaps gauge how many Tenthers might be camping there, if there's alot maybe a congregation and a barbie at one of the campsites on the Saturday night could be another idea? |

The campsite idea is appealing as campers don't need to get from town back to camp if one has a few drinks.

I'm in either way whether it be in town or a trackside bbq. If we sort out a time and a place I'll be there.

Appreciate the feedback. With the campers, is meeting up and catching a cab an option as it would be cheap and then you can drink all you want ?

I'm interested ... not likely to be camping as one of us has an aversion to it. Stayed at Orange the last 2 years, Oberon this year. If I get in early enough, a Bathurst motel could even be an option!

Stating the obvious, but with the increased success of the event comes the more people attending so you will need to get in pretty early depending on the location and quality of motel that you are looking for. The manager of the motel I have stayed at for the last 4 years which is only 5 minutes from the track is very much aware that he could book out the motel 10 times over so he has a 4 night minimum stay in place. If your looking for a half decent motel in Bathurst I would get onto it ASAP and rich07, don't you be leaving it until the last minute either and bring your SATNAV

I'll be attending with a few regulars so I'll have to run it by them, but it would be good to catch up. Personally it'd probably be easier to meet in the campgrounds as we will have had a couple of drinks during the day, but we do usually end up in town for dinner anyway

To be honest we usually have a pretty quiet night on Saturday as we're up at 4.30am to make it to McPhillamy for the race start. |

I could just see the cameras flashing and the media getting their rocks off at Schapelle whilst Webber and Bana go unnoticed at the next table. Pretty sad, isn't it !!!

I don't even read Ferrari Chat-line Aussie section,in fact its year now and as for Aussie Exotics,a few months now,its full of big noters, kids and latte sippers. As for F/chat bunch of back stabbers with a couple of nice people still hanging around. This is a good forum, but i prefer boat forum's as thats where I'm heading. I put an offer in on a trawler, fingers crossed a Nordhavn 43....a trawler to go anywhere. |
