I'll be there, looking forward to it.
Rich, there was another "Survive the 25" documentary made for 2016 and it's currently airing every Tuesday on MavTV. My cable service doesn't offer that channel so I haven't been able to catch it... if anyone's got it, be a gent and upload it as an unlisted video to youtube please. -mike |

Good guess is that the Ginetta G57s will be the fastest cars overall but if they break then the Flying Lizard Audi R8 will be there to pick up the scraps.

http://myemail.constantcontact.com/F...id=Qxr4_dzv3Co All sorts of cool drivers in the Lizard lineup. #45 Audi GT3: Darren Law, Nate Stacy, Charlie Hayes, Tom Haacker #74 Porsche GT4: Johannes Van Overbeek, Mike, Craig Watkins, Ross Thompson Cool to see they have Craig Watkins in the Porsche. The Kussmaul Chronicles book he wrote is awesome. http://nasportscar.com/competition-m...f-thunderhill/ Pretty impressive lineup in Competition Motorsports' Porsche GT3 Cup car too. #73 Porsche: Preston Calvert, Michael Lewis, Andrew Davis, Kurt Rezzetano Some serious speed there. |

Wow neat to see a Studebaker out there in track. Other than salt flats speed runs you don't see those in motorsports

Congrats to Flying Lizards and drivers Darren Law, Nate Stacy, Charlie Hayes and Tom Haacker on the team's third consecutive win in this event! It just goes to show what an awesome car that first generation Audi R8 LMS ultra is, to have raced 75 hours without a failure (that I know of!). Way to go guys!

That may have been the toughest endurance race I've ever competed in. The 25 Hour never fails... such a good old school race! Congrats to my teammates in the #45 on their win.

It was fun! Clearly not as fast as a GT3 car, but that's to be expected. It'd be a lot of fun to race against other GT4 cars because it moves around so much... decent power and not really any aero so it slips and slides a lot. If we had used regular slicks I think we could've fought for an overall podium (we ran on Toyo DOT tires).
The fuel mileage on the Cayman was great... around 90 minutes per stint at full green flag running. There was normally a yellow/safety car or something else going on during a stint and we double'd every driver all race so stints were in the 3:30-4 Hour range every time. I only got in the car twice during the race. My back, wrists, and left foot (braking) hurt though... tough race! -mike |
