David Jeffries

I was saddened to learn of the death of multiple TT winner David Jeffries, in a crash in practice for this year's race. RIP, and thanks for all the memories.

I have just got back from my first trip to the Isle Of Man and was saddened to realise I was staying spitting distance from the spot that David perished. There is still pretty clear evidence of what happened and, from talking with our hosts, it seems we were lucky not to lose a following rider.

Having driven the course during my stay my respect of those who race there has risen a hundred fold. True heroes.
