Yeh that looks really cool, racing on the velodromes with the stupid high banking would be awesome, those would be able to get some fairly crazy speeds I imagine.
Is the idea for people to build their own cars or buy his, building own would put some people off I think, since it took him 2 yrs or whatever just to build one (yes it's a prototype, but still, it doesn't look like you can just get the thing in a kit and build it.) |

Which makes me think that anyone wanting to build a 1/2mile proper banked oval should do so with the selling point being that it's suitable for cycle racing. How many "Velodromes" are there in the UK? Nil I think.
As for the models. Great idea. Beats the usual Subaru Impreza models that I normally see. Rob. |

The only major one I know of is in Manchester and one is being built next to Celtic Park Stadium in Glasgow, there is a concrrete velodrome in scotland somewhere, but its not a proper one.
I went to a Velodrome in Lyon! Great racing on the bikes! Would be cool for kart racing. |

First ever motor race in the UK was run on a velodrome (at Crystal Palace in 1899)
