F2 Monza weekend
I see Dan Ticktum lost his race 2 victory today after being disqualified for “failing to provide a fuel sample” after his car ran out of fuel on the cool down lap. DAMS say they had a fuel leak which has been a reoccurring “mechanical problem” with these F2 cars for the last 3 seasons.

I suspect the mechanical problem was probably the engineers fingers on his calculator when working out how much fuel to start the race with!

He pulled over a second on Ilott even on the very last lap. If they're close on fuel why was he lapping so fast right to the chequers? That'll be why they ran out because he was going flat out.
Anyway good on the organisers for saving this one up waiting for Ticktum to win before they disqualify. Ticktum proving once again he's an immature little brat whenever they broadcast his radio in previous races, and hasn't changed much since his previous ban. He did nothing in Super Formula so it's disappointing he's been given a lifeline in F2 this year and with DAMS nonetheless, one of the tops teams! He hasn't exactly earned that seat lately. He is fast though, despite SF not working out. |

A pity to Dan. He controlled the pace very good for the whole race.
