Happy 80th Birthday, Murray Walker!

I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Murray a very happy 80th birthday. Murray was born on this day in Birmingham in 1923.
I thought it appropriate to post this in the F1 forum as he was the voice of Grand Prix racing to all of us for such a long time.
Enjoy your day Murray whatever you are doing.

Blimey! I heard him commentating on the bikes at Goodwood recently and it brought back a wave of nostalgia for the days of him and James Hunt.

Happy Birthday Murray!

Wonderfuly moving tribute to Barry Sheene at Goodwood. Thank you on behalf of all his fans.
Come back please, and train the excruciating James Allen. I don't remember you ever re-recording your commentary to cover a mistake.

Happy Birthday Muzza.

I read your book, and it's a cracking read, filled with your classic Murray Walker charm, as always, and expected.

Congratulations on a fantastic 80 years, and good luck for many more.

Arghh....one of them anyway! (HAD to do it I'm afraid! )

Happy Birthday Murray!

....I won't put one of his Murrayisms here since I wouldn't want to be remembered for all the wrong things I blurted out!

And now I've got to stop, because I've got a lump in my throat remembering some fantastic commentary!
