For me, this is great news.
I go to the USGP every year and I have to tell you, the Porsche Cup race they usually have holds no real interest for me, simply because I don't keep up with that series, so I don't really know the drivers or who the point leaders are. So it will be great to see the IPS race there this year. It will definetly hold my interest! |

It seems to be gaining some momentum.
There is a good number of young American drivers that are getting involved now, and if I'm not mistaken, there may also be a new team or two coming on next year. |

good news is good news
a feeder series being properly cared for by its source. but why not run only in conjunction wit IRL events? save for USGP i can't see why a solo day would(withou IRL) would be a good idea |

Gttouring - aside from the USGP, all the races ARE at IndyCar weekends.

I think its a great idea to run at the USGP gttouring, simply because it exposes IndyCar racing to a whole new crowd, about 120,000 or more! When the IPS stands alone, the crowds cannot come close to matching that size.
If a few in the crowd think its good racing, then maybe we pick-up a few new fans. |

OH don't get me wrong running at the USGP is brilliant in establishing lots of credit for team drivers and equipment.
I thought the IPS had some stand alone races with USAC or something- which IMO is the wrong way. IPS-IRL IPS F1 these are the logical matches- i hadn't made it clear sorry |

IPS has no stand alone races, just to be clear.

particularly appreciable is the venue in parallel with F1.
Means a strenghtened link between USA and F1, after the past uncertainties |
