E-mail Alerts
I'm getting some e-mail alerts but not others, is it just a teething problem or is there another reason?

I think it's because if you use the "Quick Reply" method it doesn't send you emails.

Probably/possibly not. Don't know really... leave it with me and I'll see if it's possible However the idea of the quick reply is to offer a quick and basic method of replying to a topic... so it's achieving it's aims in that regard. The fully featured reply page is still available...

Craig,
Shouldn't the Quick Reply honour the same settings as a normal reply however? I have been noticing the same non-advice as well. But I also noticed, today, that the Email Notification box is not ticked - yet I have set everything else up to email me. Just my 2c worth.. |

That is what I'm aiming for, RaceTime, but there are a couple of software limitations which I need to work around...

I understand it is a quick reply feature, but IMHO, if you reply to a thread you want to take part in it. What you have don - and great btw - is allow a very quick method of posting a reply instead of having to hit 'Reply to this topic' <click> wait 5 minutes - then reply, click post, wait again..

Hmmm a here's a quirk kfor you - I posted the above reply with EMail notification ticked - the main index page didn't update to reflect that this thread had a new reply.
A one off glitch or because notification was ticked? |
