Coil Over Handling Questions
Mainly just the one question from me atm.
I have a Proton Satria GTi (FWD) with Yellow Speed Coil Overs on all corners. Car is 51/49 and is used specifically for Hill Climbs and I'm looking at two Corners. I read somewhere a while back that Mid Corner Under Steer if it's not too bad can be dialed out by tweaking the Spring Pre-load. Now the car is not bad , it's just a minor tweak here and a minor tweak there will be the difference between holding it flat and winning the Class or just dipping out - again. Mine is just enough to make me lift slightly or after I've Turned In add a bit more Lock to make the Apex. It's very consistent in doing this in sweeping corners that go up. Thanks in advance. So I changed the Rake. Went up 6 turns in the rear and down 3 turns in the front. This changed the balance and I was able to brake later if at all and get on it earlier and harder. The 'balance' was exceptional.
