RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Bathurst 24 hour - interesting...

Let's see - Ch 7 finish their live telecast.

Lap 27 and lap times all sudden slow - safety car again???

And the leader, 888 stops....so let's check the Official Web site.

Bugger - is it down or because of the lack of information, it is being pounded to death.

So is the Procar web site.....

Oh well - no news is good news; out of sight, out of mind - not good for an event of this calibre though....

Even better - thought for once I'd watch the 7 news - cath up on what has happened - not a single mention of it.

Oh well - no wonder they are well behind 9 in the ratings all the time...

Don't worry - even ProCar's media guy is issuing NOTHING during the event! I have some journo friend who are at the CART race in Mexico and, becauise they can't get to the official web site, they have no news other than what I am issuing through RaceNews....

what a joke , I was looking forward to seeing whats going on through the website , but its just not working at all.

unreal isnt it , the first time we get to see something like this in this country and channel 7 and then the procar website screw us out of it all.

still I bet TC is loving it , in fact in sure right now he is writing a speech out to hand over to AA or MSN next wekk LOL

I thought I was the only one who couldn't get the site to work.

The site has always been slow and lacking information but this sucks.

Anyway I think if I saw one more minute of that bloody Monaro I was about to smack someone in the head - or ring up channel seven anyway.

The commentary was dull to say the least. How much do we really want to hear McConnville's biased comments?

The coverage is ensuring it want happen again next year.

SBS speedweek crew would have done it much better.

Just glad to see that the race had a couple of good cars in it. (Three I think)

Channel 7 and Nine in Brisbane both showed highlights in their news telecast. Also, Ten reported on it, favourably in their Sports Tonight programme, rather sporting i thought.

And the Ferrari has completed an engine change and are now going again - they came in on lap 27 with low oil pressure.

The Monaro suffered from low fuel pressure - the tank was removed to find the cause losing 12 laps in the process. - they are alo back on the track again.

As such an ardent proponent of HPV, it would like good if you fell alseep during their premier event.

RaceTime, you're always going on about HPV and how great and exciting they are, so it would look rather poor if you fell alseep during their event next weekend because you were still tired from following the Bathurst 24Hr.

I never said they were exciting - however when it comes to participation and team involvement they are much much better than motor racing ever will be.

However - for an event (ie the Bathurst 24 hour) that has tried to give the impression it is a world class event, consider:

36 startes with 22 dropping out in the last two weeks
NO media during the event until they were pushed
No decent live web based information
Claims this is Australia's first 24 hour race, amended only recently to acknowledge a 1950's race

As for falling asleep - - don;t think so - but I suppose if people shut their eyes to what is going on around them and ignore other forms of sport, then the place really is in a sorry state.
