Results of ETC rounds can be found at http://www.euronet.nl/users/in004021/
I've seen some online BTCC results at least, but can't remember where. Have you tried google? |

This is one of my great unsatisfied quests. I would love to find such an archive.
I can reiterate David's recommendation of Frank de Jong's ETCC site - it's brilliant. But for BTCC/BSCC results, I'm still searching. Monster, who were some of the drivers you were interested in? I suspect that our members will be able to offer year-by-year biographies of many personalities. |

TIM D,What started my quest was seeing Les Nash on Andrew Kitsons post. Les races in CTCRC club. I know Skid Scarborough & Jim Burrows both have Touring car experience in the club. I wondered who else. Also, I would be interested in what cars competed & driven by whom as the club has a varied array of cars (RX 7,Capris,Fiesta,Golfs,). Like to see who drove these cars originally.

There's also Gerry Marshall, and Tony Crudgington, who used to race a Toyota Corolla in Tricentrol I believe...

Gerry Marshall is President of Julius Thurgood's historic saloon series including HSCC HRSR and Top Hat. He comes out in a Mustang as does Jackie Oliver.

Monster - here's a shot of Les Nash the year before the crunch shot you refer to, but still at the Palace. It's the F2 meeting on 3rd June '68 and he's exiting South Tower onto the pits straight, chasing Mike Walker.

As far as the BTCC or far more preferably sounding 'British Saloon Car Championship' goes, surely the MSA should have a results archive as it was the RAC Championship for years? Perhaps someone could call Derek Tye there who could send us in the right direction?
One thing I recall from the sixties though was just how many races competitors did! As I have posted before, my Dad was a mechanic on Galaxies, Cortina's, Anglia's etc. One year - but cant remember which, we did 4 different meetings over Easter! Raced in three different Championships too aswell as many saloon scratch races at all forms of clubbie meetings from January to December with just a three week break in the racing season. Saloon names from back then who still race include Gerry Marshall, Tony Lanfranchi, Jack Oliver, Whizzo Williams, Willie Green and Peter Baldwin, but there must be many more. |

The thread's called Saloon Results, so here's the result of something! Mallory Park International meeting 29th June 69. West countryman Dennis Leach had a reputation as a wild man and in the Group 5 race he took the lead at the start leaving Roy Pierpoint and Frank Gardner to try and catch him. When he spun exiting the hairpin on lap 1 they did!

It took a while, but the first tentative step to include the BTCC on my website http://etcc-history.it4us.nl has been taken - the 1968 season is included now (national championship section).

Race Results for Saloon Cars.
I wish that I could help, but I have been looking everywhere for the same thing, without any luck whatsoever. In my case I wanted to see if anyone had taken any 8mm film (we didn't have video in those days) of my Swish Anglia. I raced for over ten years, and have seen people filming the car, do you think that I could find just one foot of film? No!! The same with a list of results, yes I have the old MN and the AS and they do carry the races I was in, but a Saloon Results Record for the years I raced, nothing! Good luck in your quest. Gerry Taylor "Swish" Racing Anglia.

The Swish Racing Anglia.
Hi Guy's Thanks for the chat its nice to talk about those great days. Yes, I raced from 1964 thru 1975 and the cars were a mini 850 followed by several Anglias and an Escort. By far the most well known was the Anglia, the White and Yellow car, It had a broad black band from bonnet to boot right across the roof too. (Apart from when I had that infamous flip at Shaws Hairpin at Mallory, and a rebuild over night left us without the black band) You can actually see the car and read the info on the car on the racing 70s site run by Paul Barrow: www.racing70s.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk
I would love to see any pics or film anyone has if that is at all possible? Just drop me an e-mail at: gerry@voicecannell.plus.com I did race at all the circuits, as I was chasing points in the redex the triplex the hepolite and all the rest. I even raced at Ingliston on the Saturday and then Mallory on the Sunday and then Silverstone on the Bank holiday Monday. Happy Days! Talk more Later. Gerry. |

For 1980s touring car buffs [particularly Rover fans], I found this site recently. If you check out the racing section, there's pretty comprehensive coverage of a few races and some interesting information on the cars that were racing at the time. For instance I didn't realize that the BMW 635 CSIs had different power outputs dependent on team. Check it out.

Hey, has anyone found any results site for the BSCC/BTCC?
I would love to found out race winners for the 60's, 70's and 80's. I have the winners from 1988.... |

The 1968 season is on my site; the 1960 BSCC season will be on my site in 1-2 months time.
The rest will follow, I'm sure... |
