Ranger to F1?
http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto/champcar/17533/
Nothing is firm, but apparently Alex Shnaider of Midland is interested in Ranger. Is anyone else really starting to hate Shnaider? On the upside it sounds like Dominguez is safe in CC. Thoughts? |

It sounds more as if Ranger and his agent are just making contacts in F1 while the circus is in town. Schnaider talking to him and expressing interest is just good local PR.
I think a test for the boy would be good though. |

I wouldn't read much into this yet, in the long term Schnaider might be interested (if he's still involved in the team, of course), but the undercurrent of this is surely "hey, if you want a Canadian driver in F1, throw some backing to me and we'll make it happen".

Amazing.
So many people thinking that Valiante deserved a seat more than any other Canadian. Three races into the season, and there's rumour that Ranger is F1-bound! Let's wait-and-see how long this rumour persists after the F1-circus leaves Canada. They're in Indianapolis next, aren't they? Interesting to see if rumours start flying about Allmendinger... |

Ranger is very talented and likely has the best F1 potential of any Canadian right now. He needs more experience before he makes the next step though (I will admit that I thought he needed another year of Atlantic).
I don't view this talk as anything more than trying to get a few headlines though. |

Interesting point. I don't know that Ranger is better than Valiente, but Ranger is able to show himself off, whereas Valiente is stuck at home. Ranger is producing a lot of hype, which is good for the series.

I'm not saying that Ranger is better than Valiente today. But I think that the future is bright for Andrew. He should get better with more experience.
