SEAT line up Muller
SEAT are lining up Yvan Muller to spearhead their ETCC assault next season. SEAT are also looking at Belgian Vincent Radermecker and Muller and Radermecker would be a formidable partnership but would Radermecker want to team up with Muller after 99 when he wasn't happy at moving over for him. The first super 2000 spec Toledo is nearly ready to run for the firs time with a 2 car factory team with the possibility of a second priavteer team.

Radermecker? He didn't seem to contribute much to Volvo's ST efforts back in '99? OTOH, it seems Volvo have never been able to find another driver as talented as Rydell? Rydell's always seemed to be one who shouldered the Volvo burden, at least in the BTCC. Offhand, the only other people who may have contributed are Cameron Mclean? What do people think of Peter Brock, Jan Nilson?

'Flash' is as good as Rydell.

Peter Brock is God in Australia. For those who don't know, he's come out of retirement to race in the Bathurst 1000 this weekend, at age 57!
Brock was pretty good in a Super Tourer. Nilsson is a very good driver, who deserves to take the S60 Racing seat of James Hanson. Cameron McLean can be ultra quick, as seen in the Volvo 850 at Bathurst in 1997. |

Rademecker was I suppouse with Harvey the best number two Volvo driver. At least in qualifying he was THE closest second driver to Rydell...

I'm soooo glad that someone finally thought of Peter Brck. He said he's always wantd t go over to Britain to race. And here's a new one -What about Paul Radisich? The 2nd best New Zealand racing driver ever, his contract with the Shell Helix Ford Falcon team in Australia is expected to end shortly, AND he is a two-time World Touring Car Champion...

Expanding further on my comments, I sometimes wonder if Volvo would have scored higher up the manufacturer rankings or perhaps even capture a 2nd BTCC championship, if they had a better 2nd driver.

i think Radermacker is a good driver...the problem was that he had to play second to fiddle to Rydell in 99 and third fiddle to Plato and Muller in 2000.

My thoughts exactly. In the French series he's really come into his own this year.
