2022 Belgium Fantasy Result
Welcome back, hope your were able to find something to fill those long 3 weeks without F1.
It's Spa and the good news that remains on the calendar for next season, but lets check out how this seasons event went with the Qually and Race results. . These of course when put together give the event fantasy points for each driver, constructor and Power unit provider. Using the above tables it's time to say a point congratulations to Lights out and away we Zhou, and to Team Foggy Notion, who share top spot with 69 points. Following on in close order was Team Hawkwood with 68 points. The full listing to see how your team got on are below as always In the overall it's all closing up, Porpoise racing with a total of 1038points now holds a six point lead over new second place Lights out and away we Zhou who have 1032 points. Frogspawn Racing slips back to third with 1019 points. These three are the only ones to break the 1000 point marks so far, but here you can see the rest aren't that far behind It's a quick drive up the road from Spa to the next event at Zandvoort, so if you want to make driver changes you'll need to be quick as this will be the 2nd event of a 3 events in 3 weekends triple header. Here is the latest fantasy standings to help you decide on any changes As always the start of FP1 is the cut off for any changes to be included for that event, a first driver change is free but any additional changes come at a cost of 10 points per driver change. |

It is interesting how different the championship standings are to the rankings in this competition, with consistency so much more important and George Russell in second place, both Aston Martins much higher than in the actual championship, Nicholas Latifi almost as good a choice as Bottas, while you would be better off with Nico Hulkenberg as a driver than Yuki Tsunoda! I didn’t really consider this when making my choices so feel very lucky to be in third place.

There are a lot of factors that come into play, the main ones are that
1. All points finishers score points 2. The +/- positional points, so even those who finish at the back, not only get points for finishing, but places gained over other cars that have DNF'd either through technical or accident 3. I've managed over time to get the penalties just about right, so that a top running driver starting at the back and coming through the field ends up with only a few more or less points than if they had started from an expected start place. 4. The last one to mention is negative points. and that's where constant finishing helps and non finishes really hurt. Being honest the formulations has evolved over the years but the basic format was in place long before I took over running the fun. |
