I think there are some big LMP1 announcements coming one way or another towards the end of the month.

Peugeot wants to win at LM, so i think there will be 2 factory cars, 1 hybrid, and 1 costumer (or the hybrid goes to the costumer, but it would be quite unbelievable). And, yes, me too, i would bet on Pesca. And i would bet, they will go to WEC with 2 cars, and the hybrid will join them at some races (Spa for ex.). If it goes well for the HY4, probably it will appear at more races. If Pug have the 2012 money already, i don't see any reason why to go to LM with only 1 real factory car. And i think they have that money. |

Well this basically hands the WEC title and Le Mans podium on a platter to Audi.

Hard to believe but this looks official: http://www.autohebdo.fr/endurance/le...te-l-endurance
P2 is gonna be full of privateers this year. Sad that nothing was done to make P1 the class where everything is wide open they could have entered. Oh well, it all didn't matter and everything was rosy until this one small announcement. Single digits P1 entrants all year, youpi. |

Oh dear. 1992 all over again I think.
No shortage of machinery, just a prolonged global economic downturn that makes racing an impractical option for a company like Peugeot. Not in any way good news at all. One does wonder though - it's been speculated that Le Mans last year was a 'must win' for the continuance of the Audi programme, wonder if in actual fact we'd have been better turning things on their head, and seeing Audi winning in the wider ILMC, and Peugeot getting the result in June? |

This is not the news I was expecting to read this morning.

Really hoping a private two-car team can still come together to house team members and drivers. I don't know how much help Peugeot are in a position to give.

And apparently some Peugeot Sport personnel are right now at Sebring preparing for a test there... and it's no longer going to happen.

Not a big shock, there had been whispers, and it didn't look good for Peugeot. Their numbers must be very poor, with poor expectations. This is what happens when you have shareholders.

Never been a fan of Peugeot, but that's a terrible blow for sportscars.

This might have a trickle-down effect.
What significant reasoning does Audi now have for more than two entries at LM? |
