Thruxton 40th Anniv. meeting Easter 08

Hi all, does anyone know exactly what is planned to be on the bill for the Thruxton 40th Anniversary meeting on Easter Sunday / Monday?

All it says on the BARC web is that it includes Historic races supporting F2.

But not exactly what races.

Thanks - Rob M

Some of the Masters series races are supporting I think (historic sports cars and saloons) and Formula Vee certainly is.

I am really peeved about this - the one time I could have raced at Thruxton, a circuit 4 miles from my house, and I am off on a family holiday... I am testing the water to join them a day late.....

I went to Silverstone with Delta today. Let's just say that it did little to raise his spirits!

The Thruxton meeting sounds great - a bit of a change from the usual historic mix!

Yea me and Cirrus worked blooming hard. The Ligier sports car started at 117 dbs. It was a 102 track day no welding gear or hacksaw. Two trips to GPR.a lot of blood sweet and tears two silencers later we got her down to somewhere near the limit.Bloke next door lent us a hacksaw with half the teeth missing and also a supertrap and we were there. Missed dinner blooming cold and then Chris Allford has to tell me all about his F2 he is going to race at Thruxton." Just envious sorry ". As my wife keeps saying i am becomming a grumpy old man.

A certain Bill Coombs has an F2 to play with too at Easter I believe, now he shouldn't be to shoddy round there!!

In fact he has installed a blanket ban on anyone at the racing school giving any instruction to competitors in his race proir to the event or else risk the sack - not that he's taking it seriously or anything!
