Indy 500 Practice May 16th

After initial testing times that placed Vasser 13th and Montoya 19th, the target-Ganassi duo have made a serious march up the time sheets. It must be said that the ful pitcrew has still not arrived at Indy and a portion of the eqiupment is still in transit for the team. Nonetheless, Montoya and Vasser are looking quite fast.

Some excellent turns of speed for many of the drivers, Sarah Fisher (7th) looks ready to run with the more experienced drivers in the IRL. Lyn St. James (13th) is showing some speed as well. Al Unser Jr. (12th) is also beginning to show some form. Notice that Tony Stewart is shown as having posted a time, this is however for testing purposes only for rookie Jeret Schroeder. Stewart is part owner of the car and team.
