Anyone raced here in Junior TKM, what sorta times dya do - I did time some at the back of last season when I was spectating but I lost the sheet of paper

Glan-y-Gors? Yeah its in Wales. Relativly new layout. Cub100 is racing there this year. I've never been just seen it on the Club100 Track Guide. Looks very impressive.

LOL. Yes and yes.

David, check the results section on www.scottishkarting.co.uk. Usually in decent conditions you should be solidly in the 40s bracket, although at the SSS round last year most of the field were struggling to break the 41s barrier (only 2 managed it I believe).

Alex, if you haven't raced there yet your doing yourself a disservice! Brilliant track, believe they get good gearbox grids there. Can imagine with the fast and hilly nature of the track it'd be a blast in gearbox Won my only meeting so far there. Meetings are now organised by MBKC. Check out www.gygkarting.co.uk, although most of the stuff there's for the corporate side, have a look at the aerial photos in particular

Might race there but its doubtful. My calender this year is 5 races definatly and possilbe others but its very doubtful.

1.Buckmore Park
2.Rye House
3.Bayford Meadows
5.Lydd
10.Buckmore Park

Junior TKM at S1. Yeah, it's bad for me with my Dad suffering from M.E., he can usually do most of the northern events, need Mum to share the driving for the ones beyond Wigan though.

Speaking of which, any guesses what the weather's like up here atm? God listens in to internet forums too much.

Sorry man, don't have the time sheets to hand. Think they're buried somewhere in Dad's office. From memory, think 46.3 in the dry on practice days, think the front boys were about 0.6-1s quicker than that.

Club 100 karts are not tuned as highly are they? to allow the engines to last longer so may be a little bit slower over a lap + different tyres?

Yeah they last about 25/30 hours compared to the usual 4-6 i think. Also there are no changes to the kart they are basically as they come out the box.

25/30 hours, wow that's some going for a 100. Usually the piston wear is so high the pistons just wear out entirely after 5-7 hours (and are past their best at 2.) It'd be interesting to see how they make them last so long.

Just thought, are they TKM engines they use? If so I reckon I remember people telling me how they can run with 2 pistons all season, or over ten hours each piston. Then if you didn't rev the engine at all, say cap it at 12/13k instead of around 16 I suppose you could just squeeze 20 hours out of one.
